Sen. James Lankford, a United States Senator from Oklahoma, recently shared a series of posts on his official X account highlighting both national security concerns and ceremonial events at the White House.
On September 5, 2025, Lankford commented on U.S.-Venezuela relations following recent military action in the Caribbean. He stated: “Nicolás Maduro is a dictator and illegitimate leader who allows drug trafficking in his own country. After the U.S. military strike on a Venezuelan narco-terrorist vessel in the Caribbean, it’s clear @POTUS is saving American lives, while Maduro uses American-killing drug money”.
The following day, Lankford participated in events at the White House. On September 6, he wrote: “It was an honor to offer the blessing before dinner tonight at the White House. I prayed that God would continue to pour out His grace on our nation, and grant strength to President Trump as he leads America forward.”
Later that day, Lankford reflected on another event at the presidential residence: “Last night at the White House we celebrated the grand opening of the Rose Garden Club. I was honored to offer a prayer for our nation, with @SpeakerJohnson sharing a great photo of me praying over @realdonaldtrump. A special night, thank you @POTUS.”
Senator Lankford has been an outspoken critic of Nicolás Maduro’s government in Venezuela and has previously voiced concerns about illicit drug flows impacting U.S. communities and foreign policy challenges facing American administrations.
