Senator James Lankford, representing Oklahoma in the U.S. Senate, recently shared updates on international diplomacy and local community engagement through his social media posts.

On August 18, 2025, Senator Lankford addressed ongoing efforts to resolve the conflict involving Russia and Ukraine. He stated, “President Trump has made it clear that ending this three and a half year war is a top priority. After meeting directly with Russia, he is now bringing together European leaders and Ukraine to chart the path toward a meaningful and lasting peace.”

The following day, August 19, 2025, Lankford turned his attention to education in Oklahoma. He wrote, “Welcome back to school, Oklahoma! It was a privilege to visit with students and educators at Seminole High School yesterday. We’re praying for a safe, happy, and successful school year ahead.”

Later on August 19th, Senator Lankford highlighted his participation in a community event: “It was a joy to give a D.C. update and answer questions at this afternoon’s Rotary Club of Oklahoma City meeting. Always grateful for the chance to connect with community leaders who are dedicated to service above self and strengthening our state.”

Senator Lankford has been an active member of Congress since 2015 after serving four years in the U.S. House of Representatives for Oklahoma’s 5th district.
